House by the Lake stretches low along the water, its roofs pulled wide to frame views and shade interiors. The plan steps gently down the slope so every room meets the lake at a different elevation.

Stone podiums root the building to the land while timber screens filter afternoon light. A long covered veranda becomes the project’s spine – part circulation, part outdoor living room.

Material choices are local and weather-honest: load-bearing stone, lime plaster, seasoned teak. The house is built to be lived in barefoot.
